Adjusting the stand takes a little more effort than I expected (probably shouldn't adjust it with your computer on it); BUT, it remains stable throughout its range of motion. Speaking of range of motion - it will allow you to type on your computer at an angle on your desk or raise it to your eye level to optimize office ergonomics. The addition of the swivel is a must.
