It’s light weight, dries quickly if wet, takes no space when packing, maintains its shape, doesn’t fly off my head and keeps me well covered from the brutal sun without making my head hot and sweaty! I even wore it in the ocean and it didn’t fly off! As someone else mentioned in their review-it’s the hat you never knew you needed all along. It isn’t flattering looking at all and may draw some hilarious stares but heck it works soooooo well for me:)))) so who cares?

Great hot-weather hat, lightweight, cool, and keeps the sun off your neck. Perfect for dealing with the hotter weather from climate change. This is the coolest hat that I've ever worn, in terms of temperature. Maybe not the coolest looking, unless you think looking like Lawrence of Arabia is cool, LOL. It's also so lightweight that it's great for hiking, mountain climbing, or traveling, because you'll never notice the weight, and you roll it up and stuff it in a bag and it takes up virtually no space. The only potential drawback is that it's so lightweight that in a strong wind, it might blow away unless you tighten the cord to keep it on your head.
