This was the second hex bug toy we put together. The instructions are a little tricky to understand at times and unfortunately we did build a main component incorrectly so in the end it did not work for us. We haven’t had the time to take apart and fix. The pieces are a little hard to snap into place especially for kids fingers. They are fun to build and neat to see how it come’s together and works when built correctly but, was a little hard for my 7 year old (who is able to independently build LEGO sets on his own of 500+ pieces). We will stick with LEGO for now but, maybe when he is a little older get back into some hex bug kits. Shoots the balls pretty hard. Fun (and cheaper) alternative to L**os without sacrificing quality. Our family has done 3 of them now.
