Review: Great Battery and start my V4 1000CC engine fast. - I bought this Bosch Lithium Battery BLP-14Battery for my 2013 Aprilia Tuono 1000 V4 engine. Our summer is 100°F and Winter is 60°F if it's a cold day. Don't forget to buy Lithim Compatible Battery Tender Non Non-Lithium Battery Tender will ruin your battery. Between the price being about the same as buying a lead battery and the weight and performance, I highly recommend this unit. One nit you should be aware of: the battery terminals do not hold the rectangular M8 nut semi-captive the way the Yuasa terminals do. So I recommend care and either a small rubber band or some electrical tape to avoid losing the nut during installation.

I bought this Bosch Lithium Battery BLP-14Battery for my 2013 Aprilia Tuono 1000 V4 engine. I replaced my 2-year-old Energizer AGM Battery was giving me a hard time starting after Refueling. This BLP14 is a step beyond the level required for my bike; the BLP9 is sufficient according to the Bosch match for my bike's Yuasa battery. ### ⭐ Conplete waste of money

So I purchased this a few months back and even the first time I installed it, the starting was weak. I connected it to the tender overnight again the following days to make sure that wasn't the issue and even replaced the Stator. Due to an accident in november 2025 my bike had been pretty much parked until february this year, but I kept connecting the battery tender frequently to prevent battery from draining, even though these batteries are supposed to habe built in protections for that. This month as I'm finishing some repairs, to my surprise the battery even when fully charged with a proper battery tender in a day, it is fully drained the next day and there are no short circuits in my Harley or anything, this was even tested with the batter completely removed from the bike. I went against some friends recommendations with other brands, because well, I couldn't go wrong with BOSCH......huge mistake!
