Review: Title: Suner Power solar panel and customer service are top notch - UPDATE: My initial review of this Suner Power BC-12W-Pro solar battery charger was one star, because it just sat there and did nothing and neither I nor desertcart could get any response from Suner. I suspect that desertcart didn’t really contact Suner, because once Suner saw my review they contacted me and have been VERY responsive, even on nights and weekends. Mason of Suner Power walked me through some very simple tests requiring nothing more than a digital voltmeter and some sunshine and explained where I had erred. His diligence, my patience, the tests, and my better understanding of how to use and what to expect from a small solar panel resolved every issue efficiently and gave me faith in the company and its products. The initial problem with the panel was that it refused to even detect any of four automotive batteries I hooked it directly to via Suner’s battery clamps. Their instructions didn’t make it clear that the panel must be in sunshine just to detect a battery. Once Mason explained that to me, the panel came alive in the sun as verified by its informative brightly blinking LED. The next problem was that the panel still couldn’t detect a fully charged battery, let alone a marginally charged one. The third and most frustrating problem was that I could not contact Suner Power. The support and technical email links on their website did not work and desertcart’s call to Suner on my behalf got no response in more than a week. A: Max 0.27Amps for 5W; 0.56amps for 10w and 0.67amps for 12w

**Q: I plan on connecting this to our tractor full time. Can i still drive it without disconnecting it?**
A: Absolutely! Mine stays connected to my truck battery all the time and it works great! I live on an island and there are gaps between driving so this keeps my battery charged and ready when I get back to the island. I liked it so much I bought one for each of my vehicles.

**Q: Does this require a battery tender. I have a couple other solar charger which must have a tender to prevent overcharging**
A: Unlike other regular solar charger, the solar charger was built-in intelligent mppt charge controller chip to prevent over charge, over voltage, short circuit, no addtional battery tender is required.

**Q: The indicator light turned off and and it is almost dark. Does this mean**
A: The LED indicator is powered by sunlight, it will not come on if sunlight is not sufficient. Expose the solar panel to full sun, see if the light comes on? If not, pls get back to our support team thru email support@sunerpower.com

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buy the correct charging device!!

I purchased this unit after several attempts using a harbor freight solar trickle chargers. Using these HF units on several occasions, I determined that they over charged my battery to the point of killing the battery. They didn’t have a monitoring function and overcharged the battery effectively killing it. After purchasing this new unit, I was concerned it was also doing the same. I contacted the tech support and they helped me determine that the unit was working correctly and my issue was with my unchargeable battery. After replacing the battery, the unit was correctly charging and monitoring the output correctly. Thanks to thir suppot group, I am a happy purchaser now. I highly recommend this unit as a proper device for maintaining my battery. It was more expensive than the HF units but does the job effectively. Don’t let price cause you to cost you money with ineffective products!!.
