A: I want to say “Troy,Ohio”. 
I attended the welding academy there, and I remember seeing all the welding equipment being manufactured there.

These worked great on a project I was working to replace a piece of metal on my tractors shredder. Seemed to weld better than the previous brand I was using.

Easy to strike an arc, weld quality holds well on mild steel which is what I normally weld with. Has a brown coating that is just right. Bought the same rod from YES and it's not as good. I have used Hobart welding rod for years and this is still my favorite.
