After supplying proof of purchase (receipt) and a few seconds of video showing the problem, the company immediately sent a replacement free of charge and sans requesting the dysfunctional one be returned. It works exactly as I hoped: Very strong magnets hold firm to speeds up to 75 mph (with sporadic 80 mph). Most importantly, for my purpose, the magnets hold firm even on extremely rutted and gravelled dirt roads. (Sometimes I think my teeth and brain might rattle out, but as long as the caution lights hold, it's all good, lol.) The lights are super bright; one of my customers remarked that he saw me coming a mile away during a cloudy day. This is what I want. The mailboxes on the highway are dangerous only because the other vehicles have little to no consideration for those of us delivering mail, making frequent stops, and sometimes needing to dismount from the vehicle to do our job. I took photos; the switch is easy to work to change lighting styles. My only regret is that I wish I bought the alternating white-yellow lights version instead, but I didn't see it available until recently. Oh, well. The only problem (which is a big one for this rural postal carrier) is that the plug refuses to properly fit and stay in place in the lighter socket. I consistently have to push it in and check to make sure the lights are on. On the dirt county roads, the light stopping because its plug refuses to stay in place is less of a concern. That said, it's a extreme concern when I'm delivering on the highway. Perhaps I got a wonky item. Gonna reach out to customer service prior to purchasing a competitor version and scrapping this one.
