At the time, I wondered about how the teachers would come up with the addition and subtraction problems. So I love the fact that the shapes were set and that this removed one task for a teacher, especially if they've never used pattern blocks. I also love the Zero cards which emphasize the lack of change in the shape when we add 0. Also dealing with schools with low literacy, so was very happy to have something that works on mathematical thinking without literacy barrier. Left it lying around the house and came downstairs to find 3rd grader and math phobic spouse playing it. (Commend added by 3rd grader: It surprised me how fun it was).
