I recently took it on a trip and it worked great, paired this with a telescoping selfie stick really allowed me to keep a small form factor and hands free when walking, then easily switch to my selfie stick when I needed it, easy to attach to most standard backpack straps, and the space from ball joint allowed me to check my shot while walking so I didn't have to use the GoPro app all the time. Fit both devices well. I was concerned about clearance for the GoPro housing one I opened it. It clears perfectly and there's plenty of room for tilting the camera where you need it. I bounced up and down and it held the heavier GoPro in place well. One particular thing I like about the design is the monopod mount on the bottom! It is my FAVORITE feature of this and sets this one apart from others. I keep a small monopod attached (also opens into small tripod), and I have quick access to the camera for various handheld functions. Did I mention how much I liked that feature??? I'm not one for 5-star reviews, however I would give this a 5-star. I'm a bit concerned, however, about the quality of plastic used. It seems a bit brittle. I wonder how it will hold up to abuse. The thumbscrew on the GoPro mount is difficult to thread and perhaps the part with the worst quality. I'll probably replace that with a fancy anodized aluminum thumbscrew like my other mounts. All-in-all, if you're traveling, or want to get some cool POV content, this mount is a MUST HAVE.
