We have an RO unit under the sink too and it drained its waste water into the drain on the other sink. Over time this results in a smelly particulate and bacteria cheese like substance forming which slowly clogs the pipe. As part of the maintenance every filter change the drain plumbing had to be torn down and all the pipes cleaned out. This was purchased a few months back and installed above the drain for the RO unit. The idea being the hot soapy dishwasher water should flush the RO waste water away.
