Review: Works great - I tested this when I got it and all was well. I hooked two 5v DC motors up to it and got some Arduino code and had fun making the motors do different things. I pulled the yellow jumper so I could power the Arduino separately from this motor driver. To power this driver I had an AC-DC converter that goes to an electronic device I no longer use, it outputs 12 V DC which was plenty for the motors I was playing with (I cut the connector off the converter and used solder on the stranded wire to make strong connectors I could push into the PWR_IN port on the card) Pay attention to the 600 mA max draw, I figured a couple of steps from a 1.6 A stepper motor wouldn't hurt anything to make sure some new steppers I bought worked. Even just a couple of steps (literally milliseconds) got the chips on this card very hot! The card survived just fine though, but, umm, don't do that. (search desertcart for L298N if you want to test steppers up to 2A) So it works great and even survived some abuse at a great price.
Review: Worked as expected - Great. Worked as expected

## Features

- This is a commonly used DC motor drive module, using a small current 293 chip DC motor driver chip.
- Using this chip you can use DC motors and power supplies of up to 10 Volts, that some pretty big motors and the chip can supply a maximum current of 600mA per channel.
- Tested compatible for Arduino Mega, Diecimila & Duemilanove.
- 2 interface for 5V Servo connected to the Arduino's high-resolution dedicated timer - no jitter.
- Multi-function, easy to operate, a strong driver library support and feature updates.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I get the pinout sheet for this board?**
A: I think the question is what is the pinout for the board, not the chip :) You probably answered this for yourself, but the header holes closest to the jumper replicate analog 0 through 5. The other two rows are all ground and all +5. So you'd have to connect it with dupont wires to avoid losing your digital pins. I guess you could desolder all the digital headers, but a that's a lot of work for $15. Adafruit's is I2C based, so I'll try that out.

**Q: Is there a motor library for this specific shield? the adafruitmotorlibrary was able to run the servo pins, but not the dc motor pins?**
A: Will this work if I were to connecet two 6v (12v in all) power supplies to the arduino dc barrel or would it work better to plug the power into the pins of the motor shield? If I did eaither of these options could they power two 6v motors (maximum voltage of about 10v)

**Q: is this only for raspberry pi??**
A: I don’t believe so. I have personally used this on an Arduino Mega board.

**Q: Can I stack 2 of these to drive 8 motors?**
A: The easy answer is "No." But it might be possible to Isolate some pins by using pass through connectors and cutting some pins. I'm not sure I'd want to try it tho, since the middle board would have poor airflow and might overheat.

Great. Worked as expected

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works fine

This driver board works just fine. However, it would be nice if you could pump a bit higher voltage into them to get some better speed out of your motors.
