Review: Great piano! - Great piano for practising and playing! It doesn't come with too many extra buttons. Easy to use. It seems like the effort when into actually making a good piano, rather than trying to sell you a lot of extras. It is not light, and feels sturdy. Easy to put on a table, and it will stay in place. Review: A great acquisition - I have been toying with whether to buy a good electric piano for some time now and I’m very pleased that I chose this Roland FP 30 X. I had been looking at some of the cheaper options including the Yamaha P145 and the Roland FP 10. This piano sits well on the Roland stand which I bought at the same time and sounds very realistic. It has a number of different sounds, a metronome, as well as a number of other functions plus volume control. I’ve come back to the piano after a number of years of absence and find this electric piano a neat addition to my room and so similar to a real piano that I have no qualms about its purchase. Since I bought it I’ve been playing daily 15 minutes per time and numerous times per day it has changed my life for the better. ## Features - Balancing affordability with superior performance, the FP-30X is the sweet spot of Roland’s FP-X series. - This slim and stylish portable piano builds on the entry-level FP-10 with an enhanced sound engine, more powerful onboard speakers, and increased polyphony. - SuperNATURAL Piano sound engine for rich expression, from pianissimo to fortissimo. - Includes a wide variety of onboard sounds for every musical genre, including electric pianos, organs, strings, and synthesizers. - PHA-4 Standard keyboard for authentic acoustic-style piano touch. - Powerful 22-watt stereo speaker system for room-filling sound. - Dedicated setting for optimizing the sound when placed on a desktop. - Bluetooth audio/MIDI support for interfacing with mobile devices (Bluetooth headphones are not supported). - Roland's Piano Partner 2 App lets you conveniently select sounds, set metronome and more from your smartphone or tablet. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08SW1RCR2 | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | 625 in Musical Instruments & DJ ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments & DJ ) 3 in Home Digital Pianos | | Brand | ROLAND | | Brand Name | ROLAND | | Colour | Black | | Connectivity Technology | Bluetooth | | Connector Type | MIDI USB | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 474 Reviews | | Finish Type | Lacquered | | Headphones Jack | 3.5mm Jack | | Included Components | User manual, Music rest, Safety instructions | | Instrument | Digital Piano | | Item Dimensions | 143 x 42.5 x 32.3 centimetres | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 28.4D x 130W x 15.1H centimetres | | Item Type Name | FP-30X-BK | | Item Weight | 1.49 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Roland | | Manufacturer Part Number | FP-30X-BK | | Model Name | FP-30X | | Model Number | FP-30X-BK | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Keys | 88 | | Number of keys | 88 | | Operating System | Midi-Compatible Software Environment | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Product Warranty | 1 year. | | Set Name | FP-X | | Size | Compacto (28.4 cm x 130 cm x 15.1 cm) | | Skill Level | Professional | | Skill level | Professional | | Special Features | Portable | | Special feature | Portable | | Style | FP-30X-BK | | Supported Software | MIDI Software | | UPC | 761294515020 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** ROLAND - **Colour:** Black - **Number of keys:** 88 - **Skill level:** Professional - **Special feature:** Portable ## Images ![Roland FP-30X | Slim & Stylish 88-Note Digital Piano | Rich Tone & Authentic Ivory-Feel - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51Bpm277TjL.jpg) ![Roland FP-30X | Slim & Stylish 88-Note Digital Piano | Rich Tone & Authentic Ivory-Feel - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61AxL-VQu+L.jpg) ![Roland FP-30X | Slim & Stylish 88-Note Digital Piano | Rich Tone & Authentic Ivory-Feel - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41K0clJK3HL.jpg) ![Roland FP-30X | Slim & Stylish 88-Note Digital Piano | Rich Tone & Authentic Ivory-Feel - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Lsaf-TypL.jpg) ![Roland FP-30X | Slim & Stylish 88-Note Digital Piano | Rich Tone & Authentic Ivory-Feel - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61CRiMaX9LL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What are the differences between this model and the standard FP 30?** A: The never FP30x has about 5x more instrument sound choices (tones) than the FP 30. The FP30x is compatible with Roland’s new Piano Everyday app and their older Piano Partner 2 app, while the FP30 is only compatible with the older Piano Partner 2 app All of this could easily be etabled by firmware updates to the FP30. So basically they are crippling the Fp30 (the older one) and inducing you to go out and buy a new piano. Must be part of Roland’s environmental strategy. **Q: Does this come with the stand?** A: Hi,This is for just the piano head. You can get the full pack with pedals and stand here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01CQTZA9SRegardsLouis **Q: Does it have full sized weighted keys?** A: The piano has full size keys and are pressure sensitive as you would experience on a mechanical piano. To illustrate this, I am returning to piano playing after a 60 year break, unfortunately with old age comes arthritic fingers, so sometimes I miss a note because I don't apply sufficient pressure (usually with my little fingers). Hope this helps **Q: Does this come with an adapter** A: YES. Also comes with a pedal. Read the product details. Always. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great piano! *by U***R on 27 September 2026* Great piano for practising and playing! It doesn't come with too many extra buttons. Easy to use. I don't regret going for the FP-30x, though I must admit the main reason for choosing it over the FP10 was the ability to upgrade to 3 pedals in the future, and if I'm honest, I now realise I am unlikely to need the other two pedals for a very long time, if at all. Other than the pedal upgrade ability, the FP30x does have some extra voices, but if your purpose is to learn piano, then these extras are not particularly necessary, and you are more than likely to be perfectly happy with the FP10 as a first, and possibly only keyboard you might ever need. Anyway, the FP30x is everything I could want, with a great grand piano sound and feel - at least that is what I've read, I have not played a real grand piano myself - but to me it sounds and feels perfect. ## Frequently Bought Together - Roland FP-30X | Slim & Stylish 88-Note Digital Piano | Rich Tone & Authentic Ivory-Feel | Built-In Powerful Amplifier & Stereo Speakers | Onboard Sounds | Bluetooth & MIDI Connectivity | Black - M-Audio SP-2 - Universal Sustain Pedal with Piano Style Action, The Ideal Accessory for MIDI Keyboards, Digital Pianos, Electronic Keyboards & More - RockJam XX-363 Xfinity Doublebraced Pre Assembled Keyboard Stand with Locking Straps & Lessons.,Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/272450544-roland-fp-30x-slim-and-stylish-88-note-digital-piano](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/272450544-roland-fp-30x-slim-and-stylish-88-note-digital-piano) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
