It sticks out just a tad on the bottom if it’s screwed in tight. If you have textured walls at all the adhesive won’t be enough. Smooth walls maybe but I wouldn’t trust it. It’s great screwed in tho! **Q: I am planning on sticking this to the side of my wood nightstand for remotes; is rhe adhesive easy to remove or will it mess my wood up?** A: We havent tried to remove ours - we dont want it going anywhere. If i were you I would go to the store and buy the adhesive Command Strip brand **Q: Says in descriptions it charges by plugging underneath.
