I finally grabbed some coffee beans and gave this a try. It does the job, but there is a few things that I do not like about this. First, the handle does not stay on securely. If you are grinding fine or medium coffee grounds, and you are making 4 or more cups, it takes a lot of rotating of the handle. The handle is kind of long as well, and I tend to try to rotate quickly, but it is a bit difficult because the handle comes off so easily. So its annoying for grinding a lot of coffee grounds, so I will only use this for 1 or 2 cups of coffee. Next, it would be pretty handy if there were measurements on the transparent portion of the bottom piece that holds the grounds, but I figured out that grinding to the top of the little glass window is about 4 tablespoons of medium grounds, which is enough for about 2 or 3 cups of coffee. Lastly, you have to be very careful if you want to clean this thing thoroughly. If you remove the ceramic grinder wheel, there is a small washer and a spring that is attached to the metal piece that attaches to the handle. That little washer can easily fall down a drain. Other than than, it does the job pretty well. And it is easy to travel with, since the handle removes so easily and the grinder itself is somewhat small.I received this item at a discount in exchange for an honest review. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Handle has an issue. *by S***N on June 7, 2016* This coffee grinder is small enough to fit into my hand with ease. I have trouble gripping things so this is an important point for me. The blades turn smoothly. The coffee seems to be coming out fine. The brushed stainless steel is a perfect match for my kitchen appliances. All of the parts come apart and go back together without much effort. I have one negative comment about this coffee grinder. The handle. It is not permanently attached to the grinder itself. It rests on a small knob shaped to fit with the hole at the end of the handle. That's great if you are careful as you turn the handle. If you are not careful while turning the handle, there is a risk that the handle will pop off while in use. I wouldn't classify this is as a safety hazard, but it's certainly annoying to find something doesn't work quite as well as you had thought or hoped that it would. I will keep working with it and find my happy medium with it. I'm a coffee snob, I know. Many people don't mind the freshness of beans or coffee grounds, but not this guy. I'm assuming anyone looking at purchasing this cool contraption feels the same way. Why drink stale coffee at the campsite when you don't have to? I am talking to you. You need this coffee grinder (or one like it). As for me, I love this little coffee grinder, and I'll tell you why.1. It's small - ideal for putting in a suitcase, work lunch bag, or any camping/hiking bag so you can bring it along for fresh-ground coffee wherever you go. You can also use this when the electricity goes out. The handle is almost as long as the grinder is tall. At first I wasn't sure if that would affect the ability to keep it upright during operation, but that is fine. (note: do not expect to be able to grind enough for more than one regular-sized cup of coffee or 2 smaller cups of coffee at one time)2. It's easy to use. There is an enclosed canister to collect the grounds. If you want to adjust the fineness or coarseness of the grind, all you have to do is hand-adjust a screw at the bottom. Then you just add the beans, and get the grounds for a fresh brew!3. It's got a burr grinder. I think this natural, since I don't know how one could create a hand-cranked blade grinder.
