Is this correct maximum width??** A: Yes mine is exactly 7” but I use mine for polymer clay. I’m presuming that if my clay can get clogged behind the rollers, than dough will as well. They aren’t easy to clean but you can strip them down of excess metal and win over half the battle. Google YouTube “dismantling a pasta machine for polymer clay use”. **Q: how wide of a sheet will it make?** A: 17.5mm or 6 3/4in. **Q: Could this machine work for laminating croissant dough?** A: I believe it can. I have never done it but there is a how to on Pinterest. Hope this helps. **Q: is the crank handle black plastic or silver like the amazon picture** A: The crank handle is black plastic, and the crank is chrome. However, quality of assembly could be much better. Once unpacked, found one side panel separated as one screw was not in place. As this screw seemed to be very short for the purpose, I had to replace it with the new one. Crank does not hold on its place and tends to fall away while in use. Item stand seems to be not straight so the press can not stand on all its 4 legs.
