Malco came in and bought the old Irwin Nebraska plant and decided to ramp up operations again. Malco called their pliers "Eagle Grip" and they were the absolute best on the market (no one else was even close). However, Malco decided to get out of the locking plier business and shut down the Nebraska plant for good last year. **Q: Are they made in the u.s.a.?** A: No, they closed their USA plants and moved to China. Malco bought the plant and makes the Eagle Grip locking pliers and they've been tested independently and are much better than these vise grips. Buy those instead.
