What made it really special though, was the love and care put into the packaging, and the respect for the customer and their time that was apparent throughout the assembly process. It comes with a wonderful allan key torgue wrench which makes everything SO fast as simple. Everything you need to assemble it quickly and easily by yourself is in the box. Instructions are clear, no stress, it was actually fun to put together! The styrofoam is wrapped in plastic for cleanliness, there's even little notes of well wishing. I felt special as the consumer which is a first. Great experience all round. Want to go out of my way to purchase more products from them. Buy this platform!

The bed frame is solid, real wood as opposed to "re-engineered wood" from sawdust and glue. This makes it relatively light and strong. Everything fit together well, and of course they provide all fasteners, even some spares, and the wrench required to assemble the item. In fact they provide a small ratchet wrench making it even easier. The package arrived very well beaten up, scraped and dinged... but that was the outer layer. Then there was another box inside of double layer corrugated cardboard... it was also damaged. THEN there was yet another inner box of double corrugated cardboard which was only dinged in one place. Inside all of that was the product... not damaged at all. It was wrapped in foam, and spaces were filled with some kind of Styrofoam... but the Styrofoam was itself packaged in plastic bags so as not to fracture and fly all over the place. Extremely well packaged. One might ask how much of the price is for the packaging... but the item arrived unscathed. IMO this is a very good product, excellent packaging, highly recommended.

**Q: How much vigorous activity can this frame withstand?**
A: This bed is great for vigorous mental activity, vigorous television watching, vigorous reading. Physical activity, anywhere on the spectrum of vigor, not so much. The metal legs in the middle of the bed snapped off at the welds, the metal rail then bent, the bed collapsed in the middle, the broken metal supports dug holes in my newly finished hardwood floor. This was 2 months after purchase. Amazon wouldn't extend return. Zinus would not issue refund. Zinus would only send me exact same bed as replacement. I'm out the $100 I paid for assembly, plus my hardwood floor is wrecked.

**Q: Does it squeak?  Has anyone used this daily for 6 months or more? Do you still like it?**
A: We bought this bed frame about 4.5 years ago in Queen size.  The two of us are less than 300 lbs total.  Our chonker of a cat probably pushes that over, though. 
Bed still looks great and has held up with no issues.  We have not noticed any squeaks or creaks.  I do recommend tightening up the screws periodically,  though.  They get a little loose after about a couple months and we notice a bit of movement to the bed and the slight beginnings of a noise.
Love this bed frame and am thinking of upgrading the stock metal frame that came with our guest bed.  That old thing has been warped and broken for over 10 years.

**Q: is this bed made of real solid wood? No fillers or glues or other materials added?**
A: It is NOT pine, which is a soft wood. It is some kind of hardwood for the frame and legs and, I think, pine (not plywood as rep said) for the slats. It is finished to a bit like varnished pine or like a light golden oak. They've used some small pieces of hardwood compressed and glued, so that's what the erratic or zigzag colorations are. That saved those small pieces from a landfill somewhere, and that's a good thing.

The product is lovely. Nice solid wood, well crafted, soundless, lovely. As far as a wood platform goes, this is the one. Well worth the price.
