## Description

The San Jamar SI5000 Saf-T-Scoop and Guardian System consists of a dishwasher safe, tinted blue polycarbonate ice serving scoop for filling 6 oz. to 10 oz. gl and a holder that can be mounted in wire hanging brackets, with a bracket and suction cups, or by permanently installing the bracket (fasteners not included). The scoop has handle guards to reduce hand contact with ice when scooping from an ice machine or bin. The mountable holder surrounds the scoop to keep it clean, has a hole on the bottom to allow water to drain and provide airflow for drying, and comes with an optional drain hole cover to help prevent dripping. The scoop's domed scoop shape pours more accurately than flat bottom scoops. This system meets NSF International/American National Standards Institute (NSF/ANSI) Standard 2 - Food Equipment requirements for food processing environments, including refrigerators, freezers, and warewashing areas. The scoop carries 6 to 10 oz. (177 to 295 mL) of ice and is suitable for use in bars and restaurants. **Q: Can it be kept IN the freezer at home for use with an ice drawer?**
A: You would not be able to keep the holder in the drawer, Because of its size, it would need to be hung on the outside Of the drawer. The scoop would fit in the drawer.

**Q: Can I just buy the holder since it cracked and my scoop is fine?**
A: In looking at available products on Amazon, I don't see an option to purchase just the holder.

**Q: Is the hight dimention of 11.7 including the handle inside the holder or just the holder itself?**
A: I recall the total unit, including scoop as it rests in the holder, to approximate the 11.7 inches you mention. The scoop rests totally within the sleeve/hanger assembly.

Scoop is NSF certified and can be left unattended for others to use safely. Design is good with solid mounting for walls and hanger attachment allows placement on insulated bin so that it hangs to the outside. Scoop returns easily into holster. Size is appropriate for individual servings. Optional use of collector cup cap allows drainage or solid bottom coverage. Pricing very good for function of unit.
