Review: My AI recomend this and it workes great - I work in copper and at brazing temp no need for a flux But my AI talked me into trying it because of the ability to help holed the copper Brazing once turned into round solder balls in place also reduces the cleanup after
Review: I thought I was just too stupid to braze until I got this - The flux you use makes all the difference! I had seen so many people use precoated brazing rods or dip in borax when hot and braze just fine. I couldn't get it to work. And I needed to do some silver brazing anyway. Finally just ordered the good stuff and it worked PERFECTLY! This jar will last me decades, as will the Harris silver solder/braze stuff I bought. A little goes a long way and it behaves exactly as it should and now I don't even hesitate to set up a project for brazing.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can this be for brazing copper to steel like refrigerator condenser coils, because i read condenser coil are not completely copper.**
A: Condenser coils come in copper, aluminum and stainless. You can use SSWF on stainless and copper condenser coil. You would need an aluminum brazing rod and Albraze flux for aluminum coils. If determined the braze was going to be copper to copper, then a phos copper would be an even better recommendation and no flux needed. Thank you-BuyWelding Team

**Q: Does this contain any phosphorus? (Phosphorus is not allowed for propane applications)**
A: I’m quite certain it does not. I use it to join brass, bronze, and copper with silver and I typically use a propane torch, but I use it to build models and other such items not plumbing or refrigeration work. It can be used to join phosphorus bearing metals though with the exception of Aluminium and magnesium.

**Q: I am brazing stainless to same stainless. Is white or black flux better?**
A: Either will work. If you're brazing a thick piece of stainless that will take a lot of heat, you should use the black flux.

**Q: Will this corrode electrical wire?**
A: I would not recommend using this product on electrical wiring, it is a brazing flux.
Use Silver solder.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes silver flow like water
*by I***P on October 10, 2025*

This is one of the best fluxes for silver brazing. You just need a thin film, and the silver will flow like water. Used sparingly there isn't much to cleanup, but if there is a little black crust it can be cleared up with a squirt of water or a rub with a wet rag. It does settle over time, so if you don't use it often there may be need for stirring the liquid back into the paste. Be sure to stock up on silver brazing rods before the price gets stupider.
