It's useful for much more than flat dishware -- for instance, it's my go-to tool for cleaning electric percolators and kettles. It's not as flexible as a wire brush, obviously, but it reaches pretty much everywhere and can even go into wider mouth water bottles, juice bottles, and jars. The handle is the expected OXO sturdiness and non-slip grip. It's a little shorter than some brushes, but still has plenty of reach.
