Review: Move over Fisher Space Pen! - These are the finest disposable pens I've used. I use the term "disposable" loosely. You can replace the ink tanks and keep on using these pens for a long time. They are well built and resist wear with regular use. The ink tanks are similar to the Fisher Space Pen ink tanks. They are sealed and under pressure, so they will write immediately (no testing first on another piece of paper or the palm of your hand), and they don't dry out or stall on the page. You can write upside down and in all kinds of weather. I keep a few in my car at all times and through the cold winters and hot summers, they just don't stop working. The grip is very comfortable and isn't cheaply made or poorly attached. It's "welded" to the pen shaft in such an integral way that it won't come loose and spin around on you like many pen grips tend to do. The pen body is transparent, so you can see how close you are to running out of ink, and the satisfying click of the deployment button feels reliable and robust. It has a very strong spring. I can't recommend these pens enough. If you wait, they go on sale now and then for almost 50% off. Don't miss out!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I'm assuming this isn't a gel pen, rolling ball pen, or the smooth writing uniball signo pen?  I don't want it to smear.**
A: This is the greatest pen I have ever used. I started buying them when I did private security and had to write reports outside in the rain. This pen, the Power Tank, will write in sub-zero temps, upside down, and even under water. I have never had it smear on me. I sent some to my wife when she went through Army boot camp and she loves them also. When she deployed for a civil mission with the National Guard one winter when there was an ice storm, she had the only pen that would write in the sub zero temps... It is an INK pen, not gel and it is a ball point pen, but it is hands down the greatest pen I have ever used.

**Q: The barrel of the pen is clear, but is the plastic tube the ink itself is in clear? Want to see how much ink is remaining and most are solid plastic.**
A: Of all these pens that I have used, the ink level is visible in all of the barrels. It is a dark ink line in the middle of the barrel. The ink line becomes shorter as the pen is used and disappears when ink is used up.

**Q: Do these pens have a 0.7 or 1.0 point? Thanks!**
A: 1.0mm point. It writes a real nice (perfect for me) width line. It doesn't run out wide like a felt tip pen does. The thick gel stays put and the pressurized tank writes upside down and on demand, 1st time, every time. Only negatives are the short ink life and the extra barrel width.

**Q: Can it write well on carbon copy like checkbooks or forms that need to press through?**
A: It will definitely perform well on checkbooks that have to be pressed through. I don't have any carbons, but I'm sure that will work as well. We have used these pens for at least 8 or 10 years. My wife is a cross word nut and says she needs to be able to write over her. I like the pens for everyday stuff. They are made in Japan by Mitsubishi according to the box. Hope this helps.
