A: Yes. 

You pop your ground coffee in. Pour in boiling water. Place lid on top. Leave for at least minutes and slowly push down the plunger

**Q: Is the effect of using French pressure pot to brew scented tea?**
A: Not sure, I use for freash coffee

**Q: dishwasher safe?**
A: Yes,you can put it in the dishwasher or wash by hand. It is easy to clean, but the filter should be removed and cleaned.
