The way the headband straps are constructed on that set of headphones, there was hot spot where most of the weight was sitting on the top of my bald head which was uncomfortable over time. So I was looking for a product that could cushion that area and distribute the weight better. This very inexpensive product (relative to the cans) very much removed that issue, allowing me to wear them all day without any discomfort at all.
