Review: A must have For your SA/CA Cichlids, Seachem tested Oscar approved! - For 30 years been keeping tanks and like I have said numerous other reviews when it comes to Seachem products, they are the best you can get! Unlike the African Cichlids who thrive in hard acidic water requiring Seachem African Rift Salt, the SA/CA/s while they can adjust however they really will not thrive! I always use this in my 220 gallon SA/CA Cichlid tank during my Monthly 75% Water change. Keeping SA's &CA's together has not proven a problem even when dosing the Salt, I simply go in-between the 2 species as directed, I also add Seachem Cichlid Trace for the entire tank every 2 weeks in all my tanks (there is no difference in the Trace elements per Seachem} I always have thriving healthy fish! Yes it can cause warming of the skin if you should get some on you, If you are using R/O or DI water this is a must have! For those who give 1 star for how the package was shipped! That is neither a actual product review or helpful! for the record there are no seals on salts, yes desertcart should do a better job at Packing & Shipping that is really a issue for there customer service not in a review!
Review: It dissolves very fast - This product dissolves very quickly. When using RO or Distilled water it is necessary to add minerals back and I feel this product does so effectively. Dosing with small aquariums may be a little tough because you may need to measure 1/4 or 1/8 of a teaspoon. Anyway my South American Cichlids seem happy.

**Q: Is this ok for african cichlids. i have african and central american cichlids in a 50g tank...what salt should i use? thanks**
A: I have been using this in my 75 gallon tank with American and African cichlids. I haven’t had any problems with the fish at all.

**Q: I have tetras which live in south america, would this and cichlid trace be beneficial to them?**
A: Yes i believe so. I use it in my Oscar tank, and my Sevrums with Angles tank. I keep their water more acidic, they seem more active when the ph is dropped a little. I have an african cichlid tank and I keep that with a higher ph.
