The 9029R should only be a 6" as you stated. Amazon should correct this... **Q: Where is this made?** A: I have no idea where it is made but I agree about the quality. I give mine quite a hard time. If you prefer the R/H type of shifter/adjustable spanner you have to order the 9029 'R' which has the thumb screw with the right hand thread. I had one a long time ago and someone thought they would do me a favour and clean it with a chemical spray and destroyed the soft handle. I had quite a bit of trouble finding the 9029 R. Everywhere was selling the 9029 which is the left hand screw. I bought one and ended up giving it away because it drove me nuts.Some people prefer the left hand ones.
