With 3.03g of Lysine per serving and a massive 151-day supply, it supports muscle growth, healthy skin, joints, and collagen formation for all classes of horses. This unflavored, yam-free formula is ideal for foals, broodmares, and performance horses seeking sustained nutritional excellence. ## Description Vita Flex Pro Pure Lysine horse supplement is a super-concentrated source of L-Lysine HCL, an essential amino acid and the protein component most often deficient in horses’ diets. Pure Horse Lysine is ideal for weaned foals, broodmares and performance horses. Amino acids are the molecular building blocks of protein. They support growth and development, healthy hair, hooves and muscle development. Pure Lysine, an essential amino acid, is especially recommended for equine diets low in alfalfa, clover and soy. Essential means that the amino acid cannot be produced in the horses body, it must come from the horses' diet. Lysine is important for maintaining healthy skin and joints by forming strong collagen bonds. Review: Love the quantity but will likely go back to my ... - It has more of an odour than other lysine I have purchased, it's brown, not white, less processed I am guessing. Bought it to use for cats with URI who come into my rehab. Most eat it, others won't. Love the quantity but will likely go back to my original brand next purchase. For those that will eat it, it works miracles. Review: No complaints - I have a pig, not a horse, and I got this lysine supplement because I had read that pigs need extra lysine in their diet. Honestly, I have no idea how to gauge whether this is working/helping, but I have no reason to think it’s not. I mean, I also take lysine myself—no, not this one!—and I know for certain that the lysine I take works extremely well for me. So, I do keep buying this lysine for my piggy and I will continue to do so. If you’re looking for lysine for an animal, I would definitely recommend anyone try this one out, it’s a very good deal. ## Features - Lysine is recommended for equine diets low in alfalfa, clover and soy to support the availability of protein in the diet - The protein component most often lacking in horses' diets, in its most pure and economical form - An essential amino acid - Concentrated source of Lysine - For all classes of horses ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000OOC01Y | | Active Ingredients | GUARANTEED ANALYSIS PER SERVING: Lysine (min) 3.03 g | | Allergen Information | Yam Free | | Best Sellers Rank | #119,835 in Health ( See Top 100 in Health ) #1,722 in Amino Acid Nutritional Supplements | | Brand | Vita Flex | | Brand Name | Vita Flex | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 223 Reviews | | Flavor | Unflavored | | Flavour | Unflavored | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00758900028074 | | Included Components | Vita Flex Pure Lysine 151 Day Supply 4 Pounds | | Item Form | Dry | | Item Highlight | Lysine is recommended for equine diets low in alfalfa, clover and soy to support the availability of protein in the diet | | Item Type Name | Vita Flex Pure Lysine | | Item Weight | 4 Pounds | | Item form | Dry | | Item weight | 4 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Central Garden & Pet | | Manufacturer Part Number | 3000130 | | Model Number | 3000130 | | Number of Items | 6 | | Pet Type | Horse | | Product Benefits | Muscle Growth | | Product benefits | Muscle Growth | | Specific Uses For Product | Weight | | Target Species | Horse | | UPC | 758900028074 | | Unit Count | 64.0 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Active Ingredients:** GUARANTEED ANALYSIS PER SERVING: Lysine (min) 3.03 g - **Brand:** Vita Flex - **Flavour:** Unflavored - **Item form:** Dry - **Item weight:** 1.81 kg ## Images ![Vita Flex Pure Lysine, 151 Day Supply, 4 lbs - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71n05TOubhL.jpg) ![Vita Flex Pure Lysine, 151 Day Supply, 4 lbs - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/219fTV7P-8L.jpg) ![Vita Flex Pure Lysine, 151 Day Supply, 4 lbs - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61IrNSXDGSL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love the quantity but will likely go back to my ... *by S***A on 16 January 2016* It has more of an odour than other lysine I have purchased, it's brown, not white, less processed I am guessing.
