These bags were the only bags we took. We used compression packing to maximize the room. We filled them and they still fit nicely in the overheads. We took public transportation everywhere(buses, subway, trams and trains) and the they took no damage not even to the wheels. **Q: where is this carry on manufactured? thank you.** A: Lipault is a FrenchCompany but I would not know if they farm their production out to some other country. I have traveled with my bags to Europe and so far so good.
