It is more like a soft white bulb than a yellow/amber. I wanted a yellow light to avoid becoming a homing beacon and buffet table when turning it on at 4 AM by the river and wetlands as happens with a brilliant white light. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Warm white spotlight *by V***C on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2022* The one I got emits warm white light comparable to a halogen bulb, not yellow and not amber. The beam when unfocused does not flood and is narrow compared to others, when focused the beam gets very narrow and intense. My camera is not the best with colour and dark, it makes the image appear slightly cooler than in person. The other light in the comparison image has Cree 4000k leds in it. The battery compartment is very tight for the protected button top 18650 I used in it, I like the double 18650 battery packs better.
