I have mine high on the window and it wouldn't stay in the position I needed. The cause was the smooth surface of the ball and grabbing arms of the adjustable mount. I popped mine apart and cut some lines in the mating surfaces with a knife. Sort of like a Cross-hatch drawing. They don;t have to be deep. It now stays locked in place and works great. I also added a larger and thicker piece of steel since I have a heavier double case with complete ABS plastic and Silicone covering. It seems to hold it a little more securely.Very much worth the money.
