Would screws etc fit in the holes already drilled in work table/bench?** A: Hi! Since our various construction sets were designed by different people, at different times, and made in different places, they are not compatible. We are working to have them coordinate and hope they will in the future. Not sure if that helps answer about the work bench. **Q: Do the cubes actually have threads so the kiddo actually has to screw them in rather than just a hole they can push them through?** A: Yes they are threaded so you have to screw them together... great addition to the tool box set **Q: How small are the smallest pieces? I am wondering if it would be okay for an 18 month old.** A: The pieces are prettying big, but suggested age on the product itself is 4+.
