It enables smooth tracking by reducing motor strain and supports payloads up to 11 lbs, making it essential for serious astrophotographers using full-frame cameras with long telephoto lenses. Note: Requires the Dec. Bracket and is not compatible with the Star Adventurer GTi. ## Description For those looking to mount heavier cameras, lenses or telescopes the Star Adventurer counter weight kit is a must. For those using heavy full frame camera with popular 200, 300 or 400mm lenses the counter weight kit is a must. NOTE: You must have the Dec. Bracket in order to use the counter weight kit. Review: Works fine with AZ-GTi with minor adjustment - Bought it to use with Skywatcher AZ-GTi mount. The mount has M12 threading but this has M8. Need to buy a M8 to M12 threaded coupler adapter and this works very well. It's a counter weight afterall, no gear feature other than proper threading, locking in place and stay there, which it does very much like, well, a counterweight :) Happy with it. Review: Good quality - Good quality ## Features - Star Adventurer accessory - 2. 25 pound counterweight with threaded counterweight shaft - Counterweight kit for Star Adventurer mount. ## Frequently Bought Together - Sky Watcher S20540 Star Adventurer Counter Weight Kit, Telescope Accessory, Black - SkyWatcher S20560 Star Adventurer Dec Bracket, Telescope Accessory, Black, Single - Sky Watcher S20550 Star Adventurer Ball Head Adapter, Telescope Accessory, Green --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/259089520-sky-watcher-s20540-star-adventurer-counter-weight-kit-telescope-accessory](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/259089520-sky-watcher-s20540-star-adventurer-counter-weight-kit-telescope-accessory) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
