The description states they are lightly scented, & they are definitely lightly scented so thank you for that. But I will also say that even lightlly scented goes a very long way, especially when you are talking lavendar scent. I didn't think I would have enough for my project but I definitely did & I loved the crafted item so much I actually made 6 of them! I needed more of the crushed walnut shells to complete my projected 6 items so I did end up purchasing unscented walnut shells at a VERY REASONABLE price. Not only that but I mixed half of my original lavendar scented shells with the unscented and it was a perfect blend to complete my projects! And I have more to play with. I am very happy with this purchase & will purchase again when I am ready for lavendar scented walnut shells. Since I want my new pincushion to be as good as my old one; I bought this crushed walnut with lavender mix. It is lovely. It has a slight lavender smell, its not overwhelming. It poured easily into my new pincushion, it compacted and keeps the needles upright. It also gives my pincushion a good weight.
