I am trying so hard to find a French press that is NOT made in China and DOES NOT have any plastic parts. Extremely frustrating that it doesn't seem to exist. **Q: is the cover/ lid metal ?** A: Thursday, February 27, 2014Good Evening Marie:The cover/lid on the Bodum Chambord 3 cup French Press is metal. The little black knob that sits on top is made of hard plastic. Hope this helps. Here's to Great Health and the Perfect Cup of Coffee/Espresso. Sincerely,A. Crowell **Q: I'm concerned about plastic. Is there any plastic on/in this product and does it come into contact with the water/coffee at all?** A: The Bodun Chambord models all have metal parts except for the little ball on top of the stem and the cover. The carafe is always glass. I had a problem a few years back with a Bodun model that had a plastic piece connecting the filter to the stem; it broke after a few months use so I also was concerned about plastic parts. I would also avoid metal carafes just because the coffee doesn't taste good to me when brewed in a metal container. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Defective item *by R***Y on 29 September 2022* It’s an defective item!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality *by T***A on 19 July 2026* Its good and I will buy again. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Filtr fusów szybko się odkształcił *by A***X on 26 May 2022* Dawniej produkty marki Bodum były wyśmienitej jakości. ## Frequently Bought Together - Bodum 34oz Chambord French Press Coffee Maker, High-Heat Borosilicate Glass, Stainless Steel, Copper – Made in Portugal - Bodum 27oz Bistro Gooseneck Electric Water Kettle, Pour Over Coffee & Tea, Stainless Steel, Matte Black - Bodum Bistro Electric Blade Coffee Grinder, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/257706102-iconic-french-press-chambord-coffee-maker-8-cups-bd-11652](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/257706102-iconic-french-press-chambord-coffee-maker-8-cups-bd-11652) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
