He has naturally straight, fine hair that usually just falls flat no matter what I do. This spray has been a nice middle ground between doing nothing and using a heavy gel.I usually do one or two light spritzes onto the top of his head, and then use a comb to smooth it through the top and front of his hair. The spray itself is fine and light, not sticky or wet like some kids’ products. It has a clean, slightly sweet smell that I notice when I’m applying it, but it doesn’t linger in an overpowering way. He’s sensitive to strong scents, and this hasn’t bothered him at all.It gives his hair just enough hold to keep a little side part or slight lift in the front while he’s at preschool. By the time he gets home for lunch, it’s mostly back to his natural look, which I actually prefer. It doesn’t leave flakes or make his hair crunchy.My only caution is not to get heavy handed. The first time I used it, I sprayed too much and he definitely had that “Mr. Slick” over-styled look. A little goes a long way.
