The replay value for any Zombicide game is brilliant, especially if you're following the scenarios in the book. You could buy just Season 2, which does have some differences in play, characters, and the overall scenario options, along with the opposition (zombie hoards) I personally started with season 1 and added the expansions and extra characters afterwards. For my friends and I, it was an easier transition from the first games to this one, since their are some additions to rules and character abilities. If you start with Season 2 and decide to buy the earlier versions you might feel the earlier versions are under developed and too simple of a design. (Keep in mind by simple I mean Season 2 is a separate later release of Zombicide, where Season 1 is the beginning and certain features are not introduced until the layer versions.) So if you are a collector of any kind and would like to play all 3 versions in Linear order, start with Season 1. If you want just a stand alone version that is updated and can be played independantly go with Season 2. (One thing I will say once you have gotten familiar with the mechanics of these versions 1 or 2 you can begin to add or subtract parts from each version to create your own scenario.) My friends and I have gotten to the point of combining multiple scenarios and map elements to create one very large scenario/map. Once you play hopefully Zombicide will sink it's teeth into you, Enjoy **Q: Do you have to own the original Zomicide game to play this? Or is this a stand alone version that I can purchase and play without anything else?** A: Zombicide Season 2: Prison Outbreak is a fully independent product. You do not need any other components to play this game. If given the choice, I would recommend starting with Season 1, however. **Q: If there are 90 figurines and 78 are zombies and it looks like 6 are survivors what are the other 6?** A: There are only 6 survivor names/cards, but they can each die and then come back as a zombie survivor that has its own separate mini (and the stats are printed on the back of the card). So yes, only 6 survivors, but there are 12 survivor minis. **Q: Can you play with more than 6 players?** A: You can play with more than 6 players (assuming you have an expansion with extra survivors).
