While a larger woodworkers vice could have wooden jaw protectors of 19mm (ΒΎ Freedom Inches) the 150mm / 6" vice that takes away just a little too much from the maximum open jaw width so I used 10mm MDF for the jaw protectors and used countersunk magnets to hold the MDF pieces to the metal jaws.
