The lamp supports standard E26 medium base bulbs up to 60W, including energy-efficient LEDs, and includes a convenient rotary on/off switch on the shade. Its durable metal construction and 6-foot cord ensure reliable, focused lighting for reading, drafting, or office tasks.

## Description

Out of the office and into your home, the Architect Swing-Arm Clamp-On Desk Lamp in glossy white stylishly adds a pop of color to your loft, dorm room, make-up station, night table, chic home office or child's desk. The moveable clamp lets you place your light on any surface with an edge, essentially a truly multipurpose lamp. Swing-arm task lamps can look right at home any where bright, focused light is needed. They can be clamped onto a countertop, a shelf on the wall or onto floating shelves in your kitchen if space is really tight. The durable metal body echoes the stylings of the traditional architect desk lamp design from the 1920s, but the modern color is perfect for the interior designs of today. The adjustable head and neck can be moved without interfering with the wiring, so you always have the perfect light. Try using this lamp with a Globe Electric Smart Bulb to create the ideal lighting solution for any situation.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is there a shade or hood that I could buy to put inside my lamp? The day light bulb i am using protrudes past the edge of the lamp.**
A: No shade available unless you custom make one. Try a few test pieces of an old plastic bottle. 1 Gal. Vinegar bottle is semi-transparent and will allow some light to come through. Whereas a 1 gal. Clorox bottle is opaque white and will stop light from going anywhere but down. I'd use some blue painters tape to hold the plastic in place and do a few trial runs. If it suits your needs you could either then use a HOT GLUE if the lamp bulb doesn't get too hot to melt the glue. Or you could rivet your new shade to the existing shade 1 or 2 rivets would hold it in place. Plastic is easy to work with and can easily be painted to match the lamp with the new 2 in 1 spray paints. If you don't like the idea of the plastic. Hobby stores or boot & saddle shops sell leather scraps that you could do the same with. And then there is always the possibility of getting a thin piece of aluminum or copper to do the same. If you're a bit creative, you could even decorate the new metal with some tin punch or some hammered looks or even a combination of the two. Make it a project and have fun.

**Q: Does this work with 240 voltage?**
A: NO, it doesn't work with 240 voltage. The answer about whatever the bulb is, is a very wrong answer from one who knows not what they say. In the U.S. household current is 110 voltage. It would be impossible to plug this into a 240v socket as the plugs and sockets are not compatible.

**Q: how wide is the shade?**
A: It's 6.75" wide.

**Q: What is the clamp made of?**
A: Very CHEAP, Low Grade "Pot Metal" that will Strip the threads when you attempt to tighten the clamp, the Clamp is USELESS!!!!!!
