It's very easy to open and close the saw, as well as clean sawdust from the teeth. Although I haven't tested this part much, it seems to resist rusting fairly well, too. The handle has a great grip that feels secure and sturdy, whether I'm using it gloved or bare-handed. It's nice and light and tucks away easily into my backpack. If I had to get really picky, I'd wish that the teeth were a little more aggressive, but it's a fantastic product nonetheless. The Corona 10" is excellent, cuts great, it's 3" longer than the 7" (not 9") Bahco blade, and it's curved which is a big advantage cutting curved logs/branches. It's also a little longer and a little heavier (9.5 oz). If you're serious enough about cutting wood to justify carrying a little larger saw, or you are car camping/biking/kayaking and weight is just not crucial, bring the Corona 10". If a slightly lighter and smaller saw are more important to you then the Bahco has the advantage. Either will cut great. For home firewood/landscaping use, get the largest/longest saw that's comfortable. Corona also makes a 14" version and Fiskars makes a great 13" lightweight wood saw. For backpacking and hiking the Bahco would be the more compact choice. **Q: Can you replace the blade on this unit?** A: Yes, you can replace the blade in this saw. The Bahco blade is held in to the handle with a large Philips screw on the locking button side, and a locking nut in a captive slot on the reverse side. I haven't seen the exact blade used in the Laplander saw listed separately for sale here in the US, but it's a common replacement overseas, especially in Europe.NOTE: The 396HP blade is for the 396HP 7-1/2" saw, the 396JT blade is for the 396JT Japanese Tooth style saw. I dont have means of exact measures at this time. I would guess its about an 8 in blade and 9 inch handle that it folds into. So the closed length is actually 9 in. **Q: Does it cut both forward & back?** A: I have not yet used it in the field, but by looking at the teeth, it looks like the cutting movement is back only?
