Anyone replacing this filter for the first time should be warned that the electrical wall plug is directly behind the filter and you and the outlet will be doused with water when it's removed, even with the water main shut off. You should isolate the electrical cord and outlet with a cloth. The Elkay counter is supposed to reset when the filter is replaced, but after the first replacement it did not reset. I purchase the filter a second time for routine maintenance.
