Product description Digital Load Cell Weight Sensor + HX711 Weighing Breakout Board HX711 Module This is a 24-bit A/D converter chip specially designed for high-precision load cells, with two analog channel inputs and an internal integrated 128 times gain programmable amplifier. Fortunately, there exist many breakout boards for the HX711. Therefore, it is very easy to use it in combination with a so-called load cell. for DIY Electronic Portable Kitchen Scale Load Cell Load cells are transducers that convert pressure/force into an electrical signal, only 5-10V driving voltage required. As the electrical signal has typically only a few millivolts, it has to be amplified. And that’s where the HX711 breakout board comes in: as it amplifies the weak signal to a few volts so that we can read the signal. Package contents: 1 x Load Cell Package contents: 1 x HX711 AD Module Package contents: 1 x Header 10pins Wiring The load cell has four wires, which must be connected to the first four pins of the HX711 module -- Red wire to E+, black wire to E-, white wire to A-, and green wire to A+. The remaining pins, B- and B+, can be used if a second load cell has to be connected to the HX711 module. Instructions 1. One end of the sensor is fixed by a screw hole, and the other end is left in the air. 2. Apply force in the direction indicated by the label. 3. You will retrieve consistent pressure values from the load cell, if you mount the load cell on something that is solid and heavy. 4. Please be careful not to directly press the white latex part to avoid damage to the sensor.

Review: Works for me with Arduino Nano Every (5V). - I connected it to an Arduino Nano Every and it works as expected. For software, use the Arduino HX711 library which takes care of reading the HX711. The sampling rate of the HX711 is determine by the clocks it uses. With its internal clock, it can sample 10 or 80 times a second but this board is hard wires for 10 samples/sec and doesn't have the jumper to set it to 80 times/sec. If you need the higher rate, get a different HX711 board, they are inexpensive, or lift pin 15 of the IC and short it to pin 16. You can go up to bout 140 samples/sec if you install a crystal as explained in the HX711 datasheet.
Review: Great Buy - I was scared it was going to come damaged given the fragility of the product. But it came packaged well and intact and worked upon opening. Good product.

I connected it to an Arduino Nano Every and it works as expected. For software, use the Arduino HX711 library which takes care of reading the HX711. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing, 10Hz isn't great.

This works really well. It is only as good as the scale you have on hand to calibrate it. I have a 1kg scale that is .01 grams of resolution. With that calibration information, I got the load cell to be about .1 g precise. The values would fluctuate about .1 g. However, it takes 100ms to make this reading! A moderate downside if you are using Arduino. MCUs can have feedback loops running into the 100s of Hz. It is possible to request the reading, and then do something else while you wait for the response, but still the result will be delayed from reality. I know it is possible to change it to 80Hz... but really? Small SMD soldering? I don't think so.
