Same titles or can they mix with kids version?** A: Normal Carcassonne can NOT be combined with kids' Carcassonne (according to my son- I had gotten this for my granddaughter) **Q: What’s the difference between my first carcassone and carcasonne kid’s game versions?** A: They are completely different games. **Q: We were given my first carcassonne as a gift a few years ago. does this work well with an expansion set, or will i need to get a standard set first?** A: This is a version for kids. My husband and I love Carcassone, but our kids just aren’t quite ready for it. This one was easy to learn (under five minutes to set up and know the rules!) and both my five and eleven year olds give it rave reviews. My five year old hasn’t quite grasped the strategy, but I can already see my eleven yea4 old getting there. It took about 20 minutes to play, and my husband and I agreed it would be fun even without the kids when we want something a little faster and lighter to play. Simple, well made, easy to play, but packed full of strategy and family fun. I can see us playing this for years to come. It’s a quick game as well; you can have great family time in a meaningful way. I hesitated a5 the cost, but I regret not getting it sooner.
