**Q: what size aquarium hood will this fit**
A: For an Aqueon Fluorescent Hood this bulb would work for both the 30 and 36 inch hoods.  A 17 watt T8 bulb is universal length and size.  I say this because if you have a different brand of hood they may use this bulb in a different variety of lengths

**Q: is this red spectrum ? or just full spectrum**
A: Hey there! This is more of a full spectrum with a hint of red. But it is not  red bulb, it's more of a white than anything. Contact us at 1-888-255-4527 if you have further questions!

**Q: Can this light sustain live plants?**
A: Im not sure I use it on fresh water

Great light for over our fish tank for daylight. We can't find this bulb in stores so we're glad Amazon has it.

I've bought two of these. The first one lasted about a week and then started flickering the last thing you want. This was from a different company. Then I bought it through Amazon and the first night I put it in it stopped working. I have finally bought another brand which cost three times the amount and so far it's working but it's only been 3 days. My last Light lasted 6 years. But they did handle the refund very well and easily yeah. I just wouldn't recommend this brand at all which is frustrating because it was much less expensive
