The Pasler, Staedtler or Faber Castell stick erasers are a good combination to have with the Mr Pen eraser since they work better on those very difficult to erase areas. The Mr Pen also has a softer brush on the end of it for clean up. With colored pencils, the Pasler, Staedtler or Faber Castell will not erase well for me at all. The Mr Pen will do a much better job on colored pencil for me. Of Course this can depend on the type of colored pencils you use and the paper you are using them on. They work really well, and you can get up very close to the lines and erase mistakes easily. I use the brush end for blending, and it's soft enough yet stiff enough to blend pencil drawings very well. I've found that the eraser end sharpens easily with the plastic sharpener that's included in the set. I would not recommend sharpening with an automatic electric sharpener, since you would lose too much of the eraser.
