Pros - well built, solid but light weight - looks nice too even though it doesn't have to, as it will be hidden in the body of the computer - comes with extra screws and two lil screw drivers, which is nice even if I didn't need them. They'll live in my toolbox till I figure out what to do with them Cons *DON'T TAKE THIS AS EVERY ONE OF THESE IS LIKE THIS, MOST LIKELY I JUST RECEIVED ONE THAT SNUCK PAST QUALITY CONTROL - the OptiBay I received had an issue with the HDD connector. For the life of me I could not the hard drive to slide all the way on. What I ended up doing: 1) taking the 3 screws out of the top section and removing it (luckily that's possible) 2) removing the connector with board 3) connecting the HDD to the connector 4) reassemble It was a pain but I had my computer apart already and there are a few iffy moves during the disassembly I didn't want to have to repeat. Again, works as advertised but because I had to spend about 30 minutes trying to get the hard drive in then figuring out a work around and because this is supposed the be so much better than the cheap Superdrive/hard drive adapter that it costs 3x as much, I took off 2 stars. Installation is relatively straight forward, but installation on Macbook Pro requires removal of 2 screws which are almost guaranteed to strip - I ended up cutting metal mounts with wire cutters after stripping the screws completely. However, you might need to look up installation instructions somewhere online if you do not know how.
