It was introduced in 1964, when the M16 entered service during the Vietnam War. Review: For the price, not a bad *replica*, but not a mil-spec bayonet. It’s a wall hanger. - This is a replica item, not of the same quality as original USA manufacture. The M10 scabbard is not a milspec M10 scabbard, even though it has typical military manufacture markings and looks and works great. The knife looks solid, heck even looks better than the new mil-spec knives I have. It is not sharpened however, even at the point. I’ve not sharpened it, and may never do so, so I can’t judge the steel. The fit of the knife is loose around the flash hider, so the mounted knife has more play in it than the mil-spec knife. That’s its most annoying aspect for me. You don’t use this knife as a field knife, heck you don’t want to use the mil-spec one either for field work, it’s a bayonet. Sole purpose is to be “pointy” and stick people. For a wall hanger, which is my purpose, it’s great for the money. As a field knife, it’s not as useful. My rating is based upon the look and feel and mostly the price point of the knife. A genuine M7 bayonet with scabbard will set you back perhaps $150 give or take. They get more rare by the day. Also: sundry 14" barrel carbines. (It is a bad fit on commercial 16" barrel clone M4 carbines). If your DPMS Panther Oracle has the standard Milspec flash hider and A-style font sight with bayonet lug (in other words, an A1 or A2 clone) it will mount. If it sports a commercial flash hidder and or an after-market gas block, then no, I wouldn't waste the fifty bucks on an anachronism. **Q: Will it fit a 590A1?** A: It will fit any rifle with the standard M16/M4/AR15 type bayonet lug. Just make sure the lug isn't farther away than the original distance; otherwise the flash suppressor loop on the bayonet handle will be too far down and the bayonet will not be properly secured. **Q: In what country was it made?** A: imported, does'nt matter you get what you pay for. **Q: Will it fit a .708 imi galil ?** A: Yes it will. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the price, not a bad *replica*, but not a mil-spec bayonet. It was a very Happy Birthday gift for him to put on his gun ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Okay for price *by R***H on December 27, 2025* The tip is not broken they're just made to be sharpened. Decent quality for cheap replica. Stainless Steel. Sheath works well except the nylon strap is poor and is not functional. Good for light use and can easily replace the blade with better steel later on. Fits perfect on Mossberg 590 Retrograde. ## Frequently Bought Together - Wartech H-16M M7 Bayonet Knife with Sheath, 13",Metal - SZCO Supplies 13" M-9 Bayonet Military Style Tactical Saw Back Knife,Green/Black - Wartech M-9 Bayonet (S-3039-BK) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/24609681-h-16m-m7-bayonet-knife-with-sheath-13-metal](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/24609681-h-16m-m7-bayonet-knife-with-sheath-13-metal) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
