I shoot NRA and CMP Highpower and since changing over to optics, cheek weld being the same as irons is important. Also having the scope (Vortex PST) moved forward on the receiver is paramount during the position changes in competition (prone, sitting and standing). I've been using it for a year and a half after trying both 2 inch offset and 3 inch offset Vortex 1 piece mounts. Those mounts were too high for Service Rifle. I love the giantFor this mount height is 1.38 above the rail and the mount has 3.8” of forward off-set. Nose at charging handle and standard cheek weld position is perfect for this mount in every position for the game.I bought a second one for my clone upper build.
