There is a small indicator light, however, that stays lit when the humidifier function is in use or if it runs out of water during use and automatically shuts off. If you're using the sound machine feature by itself, for example, there are no lights.

**Q: Can you run the sound machine feature without the humidifier?**
A: Yes!

**Q: Is the canister dishwasher-safe?**
A: The water tank on this unit is not dishwasher safe. The preferred cleaning method for this unit is distilled white vinegar and water.

**Q: Does it require distilled water or can I use our well water?**
