Review: The Best Decision I Made for My Alocasias! - I’ve moved my entire Alocasia collection to Lechuza PON because of a fungus gnat problem, and I’ve never been happier with the results. It retains moisture really well while still providing excellent aeration, and my Alocasias have never looked healthier. The quality of the PON is excellent too. Since switching to Lechuza PON, I haven’t seen a single fungus gnat.
Review: Fantastic alternative substrate - I purchased the 6l bag. A great substrate. My Alocasias absolutely thrive in it. I use in self watering pots which I find helpful as I am definitely an over waterer. I love how easy it is to use, that it comes with fertiliser in and is reusable. I haven't found it too dusty, however I do rinse before use even though it is not necessary. Excellent quality. I will continue to use for all my plants.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I’ve used this to plant my peace Lilly and the leaves have started to go brown is this normal?**
A: You could be over watering.
Try tipping your pot to drain it.
Has your pot got drainage holes, if not get one that has.
It is always better to under water rather than giving too much.
Personally I usually use pot that have a water depth gauge.
Like the Lechuza pots, but usually cheaper versions as they are expensive.
I have never had problems since going over to Pon and pots with measures.

**Q: How can we get a hold of terrapon or vegepon?**
A: Go to Lechuza UK and order it directly especially during an offer. For example they had 10% off during Jubilee week. Mine was dispatched next day despite it being a bank holiday weekend and it arrived the day after that.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alocasias love this
*by P***Y on 17 September 2024*

I bought this after someone on Reddit recommended it for my sickly alocasia zebrina reticulata, it's made a huge difference. After a couple of weeks in pon he put out a new, glossy beautiful leaf. I have now put all my other plants in Pon. Monsters and philodendrons love it, peace lilies are no longer drama queens. I recently bought a couple of calatheas and so far they are doing okay too. I've even put a ficus benjamina in one - so far so good. I haven't given the plants a reservoir yet, I tried putting a spider plant into Pon with a reservoir and it rotted. They definitely need time to convert over and develop water roots. I top water about once a week then drain off any excess from my self watering pots. I shall try with a reservoir in a couple of months. This said, cuttings rooted in water are just fine with a reservoir.
