This mesh (60) is very very fine so if your home-gound rice flour is more coarse than all-purpose flour, only some of the fine flour will pass through. Sifting a flour that's too coarse can be very timely, arduous, and most of the rice flour could be rejected, unable to pass through. You may have to grind or mill several passes first, to ensure it's fine enough to sift. **Q: where is it made?** A: It doesn't say anywhere on the product itself or the packaging, it arrived in the same box as all the other items I ordered. **Q: is 8 inches the inside diameter or outside? wanting to know if it can slip over an 8 inch stove pipe** A: 8 inches is the outside diameter. The inside diameter is 7 3/4".
