I personally would not recommend trying this. **Q: Can I use a 0-30 psi gas regulator.** A: I use the same regulator on the 12 inch ring so I don’t see why you couldn’t for the 18 inch. If you are using a propane tank for your fuel you will need a air mixture valve. **Q: Do you have to convert from natural gas to propane, or can you hook up and use either right out of the box?** A: You can use it straight out of the box for natural gas but to use liquid propane you have to buy an air mixer. Easy to install the mixer.
